Carpet tiles

When we think of tiles, we instantly take our minds to a flooring made of stone, slab, or concrete – something hard. Another completely viable option for tiles, however, is the option for carpet tiles. These function exactly the way that they sound – there are tiles of carpet placed down in a pattern across the room.

This has come into style over a long period of time and actually looks quite good. There are also many cost effective reasons to use carpet tiles rather than traditional carpet. If you like the idea of having a carpeted floor, but you don’t like the idea of spending a lot of money on getting your floor recovered, carpet tiles may be an option that you should consider.

Reasons that carpet tiles are cost effective

Carpet tiles are cost effective for several reasons. One of the most immediately noticeable reasons is the installation cost. Even if you already have hardwood flooring, carpeted tiles can sometimes be placed directly over your existing flooring without removing the previous floor.

Carpet tiles also will save you money in the event of a serious spill. If there is a stain that just won’t go away no matter how hard you try to clean it up, you don’t have to replace your whole carpet – you can just replace that specific tile! Using carpet tiles is also a cheap way to show creativity in your room design.

While patterned carpets can be expensive, it is usually not that expensive to get mixed color of tiles for your floor, allowing you to mix and match for a pattern that pleases you – perhaps even changing it up from time to time whenever you want a fresh feel for your home. Best of all, the installation is so simple that you could probably do it yourself with no prior training.
